Thanks for visiting my diary. I've been journaling since 1984 and have chosen to share some of my entries online. They are not all positive thoughts, but I hope that reading them might be a blessing to someone who needs encouragement.
If you are just coming to my diary for the first time, please read my introductory entry, where I share some background that is important if you plan to follow this diary regularly.
Please also visit my music page, where you can hear samples from my debut CD, I Believe, which features songs written based on experiences shared in this journal.
I started to call this day 1, but it is day 2.
I left yesterday at 6:00 AM to get to the airport in Indianapolis by 7:00. My flight left at 8:00. I had an hour lay-over in Chicago, and I was bored out of my mind. I slept on the flights--slept so hard that I didn't even know when we took off or started going down. Both times I woke up right before we landed.
My friend, Jana, met me at the airport. I'm spending this first week with her here in Nashville. Yesterday we got doughnuts in the morning and Cracker Barrel at night. Cracker Barrel is like home-style cookin'. I ate ... um, well, a lot!
This morning we went to church. Jana sings with the choir from Christ Church, a megachurch here. The choir is internationally known, and, well, I dream of singing with them. *GRIN* Being in that church was awesome! Of course, it had nothing to do with the church and everything to do with the fact that God is reaching for me and stops at nothing less than having His Holy Spirit all over me. I will write a lot more about this eventually.
This is not really one of those trips where I'll do all kinds of exciting stuff, see sites, etc. It's just a kick back and relax, have deep talks and let God heal my heart kind of trip. I'm enjoying it very much! On Friday I'm off to Judi's, and I just can hardly wait!
I am a member of Lighted Path, a directory of Christian diaries.
