Thanks for visiting my diary. I've been journaling since 1984 and have chosen to share some of my entries online. They are not all positive thoughts, but I hope that reading them might be a blessing to someone who needs encouragement.

Granny is okay, very weak and not able to walk on her own, but semi- alert. I think more is getting to her brain than is coming out her mouth. She tries to communicate, so I think she knows what's going on. What's getting me is I see Mom and Cheryl worrying themselves to death. The main topic of conversation is, "Are you sure you don't want to go to bed?"
I don't know what to call this. Maybe it's still too close to Granddad's death, and I still remember Mom complaining about people treating him like a child. I'm seeing things bordering that here. It bugs me. Everyone goes off and leaves her to sleep and has their wailing cry. Then when they get back in front of her, they become very concerned with everything medical. I know this is necessary, but I also know she's worrying about how we are handling things. I know she doesn't need the load of what we are going through, but my question is this? How real are we being? I feel like I've already closed her out, and I don't think that's right. She's sick, not dead.
