Thanks for visiting my diary. I've been journaling since 1984 and have chosen to share some of my entries online. They are not all positive thoughts, but I hope that reading them might be a blessing to someone who needs encouragement.

I've spent too much time wrestling (mostly in my mind) with About.com issues. The idea that they just terminated 85 people like me is bad enough, but the way they did it is totally awful. They just shut off those people's access to their accounts. So of course there is no way to get in and check their About mail, send an invoice for last month's work, etc. It's the cruelest, most unethical thing I've ever seen. I am trying to keep quiet in the Guide circles because even though all of us are affected by this I don't know who's trustworthy and who might leak information out. The last thing I need is for something like that to happen to me. I want to try to play the cards right and make sure I get the money I'm owed and leave the users with a way to follow the info if they choose.
Dad just came in from going to the doctor. I'm going to get offline and see if he's up to discussing this with me. Maybe we can do it over a frosty or something. I could use a frosty about now.
