Thanks for visiting my diary. I've been journaling since 1984 and have chosen to share some of my entries online. They are not all positive thoughts, but I hope that reading them might be a blessing to someone who needs encouragement.

I just sent this to a bunch of blindness email lists.
For the past year it has been my pleasure to serve as About.com's Guide to blindness/visual impairment. This communication is to inform any of you who visit the site regularly that I have resigned from this position. My resignation was to take effect on May 8. About has felt it necessary to terminate my contract early in order to find a replacement more quickly. My time and experience with the company allowed me to advance my knowledge and skills, and for that reason I am glad to have had the experience. The position is open immediately; however, I cannot ethically recommend the company as an employer.
Should a replacement be found or a certain time elapse, the site which I developed will be removed. For those of you who have enjoyed following my work on the site, I will be continuing my efforts via my personal site:
