Thanks for visiting my diary. I've been journaling since 1984 and have chosen to share some of my entries online. They are not all positive thoughts, but I hope that reading them might be a blessing to someone who needs encouragement.

Vi came to Dolly's for supper last night. She had been hurting all day and was lying on Dolly's bed after supper. I wanted to go and talk with her and sit with her, but I wasn't sure if I should. After she felt a little better, she came out and put her arm around me.We went in the kitchen, and she moved her chair close to mine. "I'm going to miss you," she said.
"I'm going to miss you, too," I said.
She asked Granny if I would come back next year.
"I don't know," Granny said. "We might being the other one."
"Oh, no. Bring this one."
Later she left. Then she called and needed help. Frank had sat down on the grass and couldn't get up.
Dolly and I went with her to take him to the emergency room. I sat next to her. She took my hand. Then the doctor came out and said Frank had a fractured hip.
There was something special about Vi to me, and I wanted it to last.
