Thanks for visiting my diary. I've been journaling since 1984 and have chosen to share some of my entries online. They are not all positive thoughts, but I hope that reading them might be a blessing to someone who needs encouragement.

Last Saturday my pen pal from North Carolina called me. I was so happy! I have always liked her because she is so positive. She is always there for me, even when I am wrong. She never says, "I told you so."
I want to be a mentor, the kind that Shelva Jean is. When I support someone, I need to lift him up, even when I am not sure he will succeed. Maybe the fact that someone believes in him will actually help him more than the sure way of doing things.
