Thanks for visiting my diary. I've been journaling since 1984 and have chosen to share some of my entries online. They are not all positive thoughts, but I hope that reading them might be a blessing to someone who needs encouragement.

By faith Abraham obeyed, and he was called a friend of God. I exercise my faith by trusting who the Holy Spirit sends. My friendships are not about the friendships. They are about bringing me back to trust in God, about learning that He loves me and shows me His goodness in the land of the living.
I am not to be a slave to anything or anyone in this world. God's heart is my home. When I trust in this, I will be free to enjoy my life and my friendships. I must build my life on the promises of God, even when it doesn't look like they will come to pass. God's hand is for me, not against me.
Is the Holy Spirit enough? The Spirit inspires, leads, etc. But ignoring the tools that can aid in understanding is like ignoring a lifeboat during a flood.
I didn't want to be here. I didn't want to stay for class. But this is where You wanted me to be. I have been ignoring study tools, thinking that using them made me lazy.
i believe that You will honor my search. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them." (Daniel 10:12)
We don't have to look for opportunities to witness. God provides them. "Be prepared to give an explanation for the hope you have..."
