Thanks for visiting my diary. I've been journaling since 1984 and have chosen to share some of my entries online. They are not all positive thoughts, but I hope that reading them might be a blessing to someone who needs encouragement.

Today I attended my first music theory class. I had to take a placement test because the dean of the music department was nervous about my taking that class. When I met him, he suggested that I take fundamentals of music or math. Well, I thought about changing my schedule, but I changed my mind instead. I had signed up for music theory because I wanted to learn about music. I was going to have to be assertive enough to show him that I was capable of taking the class.
