Thanks for visiting my diary. I've been journaling since 1984 and have chosen to share some of my entries online. They are not all positive thoughts, but I hope that reading them might be a blessing to someone who needs encouragement.

I told my friend Anne I'd go skating with her Saturday. I called her to tell her I was at Granny's because that's where we were meeting.
"This is her sister, Laurie. She's not here, but she'll be back in ten minutes and I'll have her call you."
I just knew it was Anne. "Come on, Anne," I said.
"She'll call you back." Then "Laurie" hung up.
Ten minutes later I called her again. This time it sounded like Lonnie that said it was Laurie. She said Anne had gone to Corpus with her dad. I was almost in tears by then.
Mom said we should call home and see if she had called. She had and said she was waiting.
Mom took me to the skating rink, and there they were. They and Anne's sister, Tammy, acted like the three musketeers. Now they all act like nothing happened.
Mom said she was proud of me for giving them a second chance. I only did it because I wanted to believe they were just playing around. I need to feel the hands that let me know I'm safe. Every day I go to school afraid of the people.
