Thanks for visiting my diary. I've been journaling since 1984 and have chosen to share some of my entries online. They are not all positive thoughts, but I hope that reading them might be a blessing to someone who needs encouragement.

Where do tears go when they don't come out? They sit inside and cry and scream, Never letting me forget the pain. They don't come out because they give people guilt. They don't come out because they interfere with my studying. They don't come out, so I'm sure that tomorrow I will be blanking out. Still they will not come out. Even when I go to be alone and hold my cat they won't come out. They don't come out because I can't let them out.
Oh, Lord, Creator of us all:
I want to ask why You do not respond, why You stand by and let these things happen. Why do You allow the memories to stay and torture Your children?
But I know that through all things in my life You have given strength to overcome the pain. I choose to remember Your gift of strength and faith in this hour and to ask that You grant me a measure of strength and faith beyond what I think I have. Where there is no praise, I choose to give praise to You; and I choose to glorify You in things I don't understand. Your ways are not my ways, and I choose to trust in Your power and willingness to help me through whatever experiences I face rather than to question Your wisdom. I thank You for a trust and calm that is not my own, and I ask You to help me to go on in the way I am meant to go on, to treasure and take advantage of the life I have. Give me new spirit and life and love for each other and those we meet in our daily lives.
