Thanks for visiting my diary. I've been journaling since 1984 and have chosen to share some of my entries online. They are not all positive thoughts, but I hope that reading them might be a blessing to someone who needs encouragement.

I reject God's word by ignoring it, by not believing it, or by choosing not to obey.
The healing of Jairus' daughter shows two kinds of people: the lady who had such childlike faith and the mourners who based their faith on how things appeared.
If any part of me is engaged in sin, all of me is infected. Sin affects thoughts, emotions, will, and spirit. Jesus does not turn away from me because of my sin. He makes me clean; touches me, filled with compassion, when I acknowledge my need. Without acknowledging my need, all my righteous deeds are like filthy rags. I must believe that he cleanses me. He bore the pain of being rejected by God because of the uncleanness of sin. He does not turn away from me.
Fever represents spiritual restlessness. The prayer of others brings the person to Jesus. When we bring others to Jesus through prayers of faith, he honors our faith. (I want to believe this, but I don't understand. Marty.)
In Luke, Jesus' questions demand a response from the woman. We are to openly give God the glory for what He does for us.
