Thanks for visiting my diary. I've been journaling since 1984 and have chosen to share some of my entries online. They are not all positive thoughts, but I hope that reading them might be a blessing to someone who needs encouragement.
If you are just coming to my diary for the first time, please read my introductory entry, where I share some background that is important if you plan to follow this diary regularly.
Please also visit my music page, where you can hear samples from my debut CD, I Believe, which features songs written based on experiences shared in this journal.
Kevin introduced me to Dave Berry's writing. What a character! If I ever need a laugh, I just go read some Dave.
I'm not a huge poetry fan. Emily Dickinson's poetry is an exception. It's not so formal that I can't make sense of it, and I can see her as the person she probably was through it.
Like many girls, I grew up reading the Little House books and watching the series on TV. I was always fascinated by the portrayal of Mary; I think reading about her was what first showed me that I was not alone in dealing with blindness.
I read the series for the first time when I was ten years old. I've now lost count of how many times I've read it.
If you've never had a Krispy Kreme doughnut, something is just plain wrong. My personal favorites are the custard-filled with chocolate on top.
Twila paris was an early influence on both my spiritual life and my growth as a songwriter. She also was an encourager during times when I felt most alone.
I am a member of Lighted Path, a directory of Christian diaries.
Read my profile. This is not a comprehensive introduction, but there is some fun information there.
