Thanks for visiting my diary. I've been journaling since 1984 and have chosen to share some of my entries online. They are not all positive thoughts, but I hope that reading them might be a blessing to someone who needs encouragement.
If you are just coming to my diary for the first time, please read my introductory entry, where I share some background that is important if you plan to follow this diary regularly.
Please also visit my music page, where you can hear samples from my debut CD, I Believe, which features songs written based on experiences shared in this journal.
I know that I am not the only one affected by the About.com stuff. In a way it was good for me to do the conference call thing last night. I heard other people's vents, and vents are much easier to appreciate when tone of voice is part of what you hear. And, of course, I heard the corporate mumbo jumbo, and it really made me realize a thing or two. The top dogs at About have never caredabout providing valuable information. To them, this is all a business--a way to fill up their greedy pockets. They're counting on our loyalty and compassion, and for good measure they offer us a bite of their cake.
I'm still really wavering, trying to decide whether to put up with it for a little while as I work on getting some other things going or whether I should just quit while I'm still ahead. If I stay it will be with my work load very much reduced. I'm not putting all this time in for pennies.
I'm saying the same things over and over, aren't I? Good grief!
