Thanks for visiting my diary. I've been journaling since 1984 and have chosen to share some of my entries online. They are not all positive thoughts, but I hope that reading them might be a blessing to someone who needs encouragement.

I get so frustrated when I let my time with You take a back seat! I know I don't do enough to resist the things that tempt me and take my time away from You or make the time I spend be only a half-hearted duty. My heart is bordering on not caring enough about my relationship with You. If I cared as much as I say I do, surely I would make the time to spend with You and to grow. And here I am thinking about singing this fall. I know I will only do that with Your blessing.
I am thankful that You have carried me through this last semester and even blessed me with good grades. There was never any doubt in my mind that You would. It was just holding on and walking that hurt so much. I know You will always carry me through if I let (ask?) You. I think sometimes You do even when I don't want You to.
I'm beginning to get lonely here--already. I know I should be using the time I have to pray and study Your Word. I know that the only way to fight all these bad habits I have is to resist them. I don't have any strength for that on my own. I know Yours is there. Will You help me to want to use it? Will You give me a desire for Your Word that surpasses all else? Of course, You will. All I have to do is ask. Please give me a heart that is not afraid or hesitant to know You.
