Hi, Lord. Thank You for helping me through last week. Thank You for sending James to talk with me and pray for me. Thank You for continuing to speak to me and for giving me the energy and desire to come back to You.
I've been thinking about Mrs. Barker a lot lately. She was my history teacher in seventh grade. I always looked up to her. She was always calm and sensitive to my needs and feelings, and I always felt like she cared about me. I could never tell her why or how much I appreciated her.
When I took my education class last semester, I thought about her more. I want to be a teacher like that. Lord, I want that kind of stability and consistency in my life.
I decided to write Mrs. Barker a letter last night, and I told her what I appreciated most about her. Lord, sometimes I have wondered if she gets discouraged. She ministered to me in my time of discouragement, and I want to give that back to her. I'm not there physically as she was for me, but I hope that You will use my letter if it can ever serve in her time of discouragement. Thank You for giving me the chance to know her and to learn from her. Please help me to grow in my walk with You so that I can minister to people the way she has ministered to me.
