Thanks for visiting my diary. I've been journaling since 1984 and have chosen to share some of my entries online. They are not all positive thoughts, but I hope that reading them might be a blessing to someone who needs encouragement.
If you are just coming to my diary for the first time, please read my introductory entry, where I share some background that is important if you plan to follow this diary regularly.
Please also visit my music page, where you can hear samples from my debut CD, I Believe, which features songs written based on experiences shared in this journal.
There were some problems with my Social Security records. I went in and met with the SSI people last Friday and was told the records would be corrected and my husband's income would not count against me. Today I got a letter dated June 16. They want me to bring in his check stubs. I don't have his check stubs. I've been separated for 14 months. They know this. How would I get his check stubs? He never even sent me any money. He doesn't keep his own check stubs. And why do they want them if his income doesn't count against me? They just got all this information from the IRS. Why do they want it from me? Tomorrow I'll call them and probably have a nice little discussion where I get treated like a know-nothing typical welfare case. I don't need this. I'm moving, I'm planning a surgery or two, and I don't need this.
