Thanks for visiting my diary. I've been journaling since 1984 and have chosen to share some of my entries online. They are not all positive thoughts, but I hope that reading them might be a blessing to someone who needs encouragement.
If you are just coming to my diary for the first time, please read my introductory entry, where I share some background that is important if you plan to follow this diary regularly.
Please also visit my music page, where you can hear samples from my debut CD, I Believe, which features songs written based on experiences shared in this journal.
Here is an outline of the events of our vacation.
August 14: I listened to my dad and grandmother argue about school and college and where my parents will move when I graduate.
August 17: We stayed in a Holiday Inn with squeaky beds and a rattling air conditioner. The fire alarm went off at 9:30 PM, and we all paraded around outside in our jammies.
August 19: Eight of us decided to go to see Gayle and Bob (aunt and uncle) and visiting grandparents in Toledo. We took the church's icky puke?green "buggerbus." The buggerbus broke down halfway between Lima and Toledo, and we waited an hour and a half for a wrecker. Cousin Christa went to the bathroom beside the van just as the wrecker arrived. Bob, Gayle, Granny, Gramps, cousin Lisa and Lisa's roommate drove to Lima.
August 20: I sang a song I wrote at Mike's church in Lima. Mike's choir sang another song I wrote. What a nice surprise! After church I rode with Bob, Gayle, cousin Lisa, and Lisa's roommate to get chicken. Cousin Amy had a seizure at the church and went to the emergency room.
August 21: We went to the fair and rode a bunch of spinning rides. Lynda bragged about how many she had ridden. Then after she came out of the house with all the mirrors in it, she threw up. Mom, Uncle Mike, and I made a video while we were on the tilt-a-whirl.
