Thanks for visiting my diary. I've been journaling since 1984 and have chosen to share some of my entries online. They are not all positive thoughts, but I hope that reading them might be a blessing to someone who needs encouragement.

My contract was just reviewed. I'm not out the door, but it was not a pleasant experience. I don't have a clue how many hours I can expect. Flexibility is key.
And here's the kicker for me, what really crashed the party. I understand it, but it doesn't make it easier to deal with. She said that if she had another position open I wouldn't be what she needed because I'm blind and she wants a sighted person because of the low vision products. I never ever in my life thought I would hear that from this company. It's not discrimination, but it feels the same.
She wants someone who can do screen shots. It would be an essential function that I couldn't perform. If she wanted HTML, she could take me. But it's not what she needs right now. And to think I came down here hoping... *no tears at the desk please, biting lip*
